Where: Edmonton Public Library: The Teaching Kitchen, 2nd Floor Stanley Milner Library, 7 Sir Winston Churchill Square. Across the street from Canada Place Building downtown Edmonton.
Who: Invitation to attend is for cooks working in a First Nation community in Alberta. Cooks working in the following programs may be interested in this training:
Head Start
Daycare
School
Treatment Centre
Meals On Wheels
Elders Lodge
Through this workshop, participants will enhance their nutrition, menu planning, and culinary skills/confidence, network and meet new people, and share best and wise practices. Training days will be split into a half day in the kitchen cooking and a half day in classroom nutrition education. All participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the workshop.
