Replace filter as per the manual on Furnace Unit
Replace or clean filter as per the manual on the Range Hood Unit
Dryer Unit
Always clean dryer lint filter after each use. Potential fire source if not cleaned on regular basis
Yearly complete a check of the dryer vent from dryer unit to outside vent
Electrical Cords
Electrical cords should be replaced/removed if frayed or damaged in any way
Fire Extinguisher
Check to see that it’s fully charged - check pressure gauge
Check for irregularities
- Cracked hose lines
- Nozzle is free from obstructions
- Pull Pin is free from obstructions
Escape Plan
Ensure everyone knows Escape Route Plan in household
Know where the fire extinguisher is located
Ensure that windows can be opened easily so that they can be used as an escape route if needed
Keep all flammable liquids and materials away from ignition sources and keep lighters and matched away from children
